Training, Speaker Opportunities and Collaborative School Projects at Atelier 21:

Pioneering in Primary Training Course
A Guided Enquiry-Based Learning Programme Our training course is designed for teachers who seek to bring more awe and wonder in their classrooms. This comprehensive two-day programme, held at our pioneering future school, Atelier 21, offers a deep
dive into enquiry-based learning and the Reggio Emilia approach.

Day 1
– Assessing current teaching practices
– Challenging traditional norms and exploring the purpose of school
– Understanding the psychology of the learning environment
– An introduction to the Reggio Emilia Approach
– School tour and classroom observations
– Mirror exercises to build authentic trust
– Project work and tools for deconstruction
– Reflection and discussion

Day 2
– Exploring materials, spaces, and tools through ‘The Mystical Creature Project’
– Providing key reading and to-do lists for follow-up
– Follow-up includes video call check-ins, online reflections and troubleshooting sessions

Course Includes:
1. Visit to Atelier 21
2. Information-finding video call with leaders of change
3. Two days of immersive training

Collaborative Schools Project
Flood AWE WONDER into Reception; KS1 Starting in September 2024 and January 2025, Atelier 21 invites Reception and Key Stage 1 teachers to join our Collaborative Schools Project. This initiative helps teachers integrate project-based, cross-curricular learning, led by pupil interests and ideas.

Project Overview:
– Collaborative project with multiple schools and Atelier 21 classes
– Bi-weekly Zoom meetings for reflection, sharing and planning
– Cross-curricular approach integrating literacy, maths, science and humanities
– Pre-project training and ongoing support for teachers

Commitment:
– A term-long project with options to extend
– All materials and training provided
– Continuous support from Atelier 21 staff
